Memorial Day 2020 en Europe, une gerbe magnifique a été déposée en notre nom au cimetière d Épinal en souvenir des sacrifices de nos
boys.

Memorial Day 2020 in Europe. Even though the cemetery was closed to the public because of the
Covid 19, A wreath was laid down on behalf of all our boys buried in Epinal or whose names are engraved on the wall of the Missing by the U.S. Memory Grand Est France. LEST WE FORGET!

MEMORIAL DAY 2020
Nous Américains, avons près de 200 tombes isolées dans des cimetières militaires et civils français. Ces tombes sont en majorité celles de soldats américains combattant dans des unités françaises au cours de la premiere guerre mondiale. Ces soldats s étaient engagés dans la légion étrangère afin de garder leur nationalité américaine, mais ils combattaient dans les tranchées avec les poilus français pour la libération de la France. Ils ne reposent donc pas dans des cimetières américains. Un infime nombre sont des soldats de la deuxième guerre mondiale comme à Hochfelden. A cause des problèmes dus à l épidémie de Covid 19. Le commandeur du Post 1 de l American Legion a envoyé.120 drapeaux américains Pour qu'ils soient placés sur nos tombes et a confié cette mission à notre association US MEMORY GRAND EST FRANCE. Nous sommes honorés d avoir pu ainsi saluer le sacrifice de nos soldats. N'OUBLIONS PAS.

We Americans have almost 200 isolated graves in French military and civilian cemeteries. These graves are for the most part the ones of our First World War soldiers who enlisted in the French foreign legion to keep their American nationality but who fought alongside their French counterparts in French trenches. Therefore they are not resting in american cemeteries but are scattered in France. We have only one or two graves dating back to the Second World War as in Hochfelden. Due to the problems caused by the Covid 19 disease, the commander of Paris Post 1 of the American Legion has sent to the US MEMORY GRAND EST FRANCE ASSOCIATION flags to honor our soldiers and to be sent to the various sites where they are resting .
